What I learned in this article was that everything we write or draw is immediately copyrighted to us. Even if you are doodling on a notepad in class and you like the design so much, you have the right to reproduce it, display it publicly, prepare derivative works based on your work, or distribute copies of your work to the public by sale, rental or lending. I also learned that you need a license for your work if you don't want anyone to steal it from you. If it is not licensed, you work, picture, idea, or doodle falls under fair use and anybody can use it.
